Today I wanted to share my everyday skin care routine with you. These are products that I have been using lately. I'm sharing my thoughts, in case you are looking for something new too. First off, I keep my skincare in a skin care fridge. I purchased this a while ago and on tough tired days, where my skin needs that extra lift in the morning, cold skincare really gives my face a boost in the morning. This is what my skin care fridge looks like as of now. Stuffed and Overflowing. I'm going to go over my choices, and explain them, as I change them up depending on the day. Everything will be linked below and not in the paragraph. Let's get into it.
Now before I begin talking about my products, I also wanted to mention, that as of the time of writing this post, I haven't found a great "everyday" sunscreen. I have a very hard time with sunscreen breaking my face out, so as of now, I am trying different samples, until I can get something that will work well AND not break me out.
Okay, now let's get into it!
First I wash my face. Whether in the shower or at the sink, I use CeraVe cleanser. Since using this cleanser, my face hasn't had as many breakouts. Next I apply my facial oils. I have read that 3 serums is about all you should apply at once. Too many serums packed on reduces the chance of each important ingredient in the serums from being properly absorbed by the skin. I have been using the same 3 for a bit. 1) The Ordinary ~ Buffet, which is a peptide serum, 2) Vitamin Sea ~ Sea Kale and Hyaluronic Acid Complex and 3) Sunday Riley C.E.O. Glow ~ A vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil.
I use them all together. I use to use the Buffet on it's own and didn't really notice a big difference in my face, so I added the others.
A Peptide serum is stated to lead to firmer and younger looking skin.
Sea Kale is stated to normalize cellular metabolism and trigger the regeneration process. Leading to deep wrinkles becoming invisible and a younger looking skin.
Hyaluronic Acid is stated to act as a filler and smoothen out the wrinkles. Regular application of this can minimize the pores on the face.
Vitamin C is stated to help skin that feel firmer and has a brighter.
Since I have already stated above that I am on the hunt for a good sunscreen, I will apply that next. And because I don't have one that I can positively recommend, I will skip on to my moisturizer.
I am currently using the Tidal by Sunday Riley. Although a bit on the expensive side, this brightening enzyme water cream is very nice. This clean scented light weight, oil free gel cream leaves my skin feeling very moisturized and dewy. The write up on Sunday Riley's Website is as follows:
A lightweight, oil-free gel-cream for instantly glowing, dewy skin. Two forms of advanced hyaluronic acid infuse water into the skin. Gently refining papaya enzymes smooth the look of textured or dehydrated skin, for a baby-soft complexion. Alpha-arbutin brightens the appearance of discolorations for clear radiance.
Cruelty-Free, Sulfate-Free, Paraben-Free, Gluten-Free, Soy-Free, Phthalate-Free, Fragrance-Free, Vegan
The odd time I will add Ever Skin Care's product Youthful. I apply this on my face before my moisturizer. However, if I decide to use this, then I don't use my buffet. Youthful is describe on Ever's website as this:
This age-defying formula firms, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, and smooths expressions line around the eyes, mouth and face. YOUTHFUL infuses skin with long-lasting moisture. Lines and wrinkles visibly fade. Powerful 20% quattro-peptide complex helps boost firmness and elasticity, leaving skin looking more lifted.
Next step is my eye cream. I am currently using Drunk Elephant Shaba Complex Eye Serum. A little goes a long way with this product. I use it under my eyes, at my crows feet, and on my eye lids.
The product write up on Drunk Elephant's website is as follows:
Shaba Complex™ Eye Serum contains potent doses of black tea ferment, niacinamide, copper peptides, and edelweiss stem cells, which work together to support a smoother, younger look around the eyes. With a unique combination of edelweiss stem cells and niacinamide, Shaba Complex™ helps
diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The powerful antioxidants in Co-Q10 help prevent premature signs of aging from environmental aggressors while also helping to fade age spots.
Next is my neck and décolletage. I have been using the Algenist Elevate Firming and Lifting Neck Cream. My neck is starting to look very dry and wrinkly. I have been doing some research on what products will work best for this, but as of the time I am writing this post, I have not purchased anything yet. I believe a good skin scrub will work wonders on this too, so I will keep you posted. But the Algenist cream is helping. Now that being said, this product is very expensive, I get that, so will I repurchase it? Not sure... I'm looking into other products as well. The product write up on Algenist website is as follows:
This ultra-firming and moisturizing neck cream was specifically formulated to target the specific needs of the delicate skin around the neck and décolleté. A unique vegan formulation combining Alguronic Acid, our patented naturally sourced and sustainably produced benefit-boosting ingredient, with a vegan celery protein and peptide complex to visibly improve firmness and tighten the skin. Skin is smoother, revived and supported, and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles is improved to create a more youthful, lifted look.
And finally, the last step on my morning facial routine is to moisturize my lips. I have been using the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. I use this at night as well, but who doesn't like moisturized lips in the morning as well?
These products are the ones that I have been using for at least the last three months. With this being said, I can say that I really enjoy all these products and would 100% recommend them. Does this mean that I might try something new? NO... but for now, this is my suggestions for products. You can easily find them by clicking on there name. :)
