I purchased this palette a while back and I am still playing around with it. Recently, I saw someone using pinks on their eyes, and I fell in love. So here is my take on it!
Let me know what you think! Would you wear pinks on your eyes?

So!, a while ago, I joined a bunch of girls to get together in an evening of fun and makeup! Two of my favourite things! For a small fee, we attended a venue and HairandMakeupwithSarah88, which you can find on Instagram with the same handle here, went through step by step on how to apply makeup and tips and tricks. Along with her knowledge, she presented us with a beautiful atmosphere, complete with a gorgeous gift bag, refreshments and flowers, and a few hours of fun with fellow awesome women, who were there to get some help/tips as well.
Sarah had a fellow makeup artist, Payten, lipstick lounge makeup on Instagram, as her model for the evening. You can find her here. Together, the two made the evening very informative and fun. Sarah took the time to show us first on Payten, and then we applied the techniques on ourselves. If we had any questions, she was there to help!
First things first tho...... Inside our gift bag was a beautiful new palette and new lashes and lash glue, makeup sponge, along with some "extras" that were inside a gorgeous gift bag that was personalized with our names. What an awesome gift! As we sat in the seat at the long table where our bag was, you could see all the hard work and beauty Sarah put into the evening. There were mirrors and flowers and face templates for us to use. The night went so fast, but yet so fun! Here are a few pictures from our evening.
The night lasted a couple hours with lots of laughs. After some refreshments, we packed up and headed home. I was so impressed with this evening and what I learnt. I wrestled with the idea of not posting this, as it was such a while back, however, I am putting this out there as if Sarah ever decides to do another evening of fun, you will know that you definitely need to register and take the class!! OH YA... also, the cherry on top of the evening, I won the door prize! Inside was a bunch of gift certificates, some jewellery, and a set of brushes. Speaking of brushes..... Sarah has her own makeup brushes line, ps your beautiful brushes. You can find them here! A beautiful pink set of brushes, which I might add, I have purchased some and they are fabulous! A great set of brushes.
Overall my experience was amazing. Sarah made sure everything was covered and so beautiful. She decorated with Pink and White, and didn't miss a thing. Even down to the smallest things like the cups, they were in the colour scheme. You could tell she put her heart into it and it showed. Here's hoping Sarah does another evening, so people who missed out will be given the chance to spend time with her!

I recently cleaned my makeup brushes and decided to post how I do it. I use warm water and this product that I found at Shoppers Drug Mart! The Quo brush cleaner really gets the deep down makeup out. I recently found this rubber cleaning mat at Winners and picked it up and boy I'm glad I did. I works so much better then just using my hands and rubbing it out! All these brushes, I cleaned in less than a half an hour. I do try to make sure that I don't get too much water in the shaft, as to not compromise the integrity of the glue! You can purchase it for $12.00 at Shoppers. They also now carry a Rosewater One too!
I spray the bristles of the brush with two pumps of the Quo cleaner and gently work it in with my fingers, then I add a bit of warm water, and work it in. I then rub the brush against the cleaning mat. My brush cleaning mat was a gift last Christmas, but you can find a great deal Cleansing Silicone Mat at Sephora for $18.00 here.
You gently rub against the mat until the mat becomes clear and the water becomes clear, then you know that you have cleaned out all the left over makeup in the brush. Again gently squeeze out the excess water and shake the brushes to get all the last bit of water out before laying them to dry.
I do this with every brush and it lay them on a dry face cloth. I then clean the mat off with soap and water to make sure there is no bacteria left on it and it's ready for next time.
I leave them to dry for around 24 hours before using them. Keeping your brushes clean helps to ensure the life span of good brushes and also keeps you from using brushes that have bacteria from unused product on them, thus keeping your skin clean and clear of acne and breakouts, and clogged pores!
You invest a lot of money in good brushes, please take care of them! How often do you clean your makeup brushes? Which cleaner do you use for cleaning your brushes?
*Brushes shown in picture are Crown Brushes, MAC Brushes and Sigma Brushes and are all my own.
