So I finally made it down to Toronto the other weekend. I decided to check out the Christian Dior exhibition at the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum), presented by Holt Renfrew! I booked my tickets and away we went.

The display is explained as this, on the ROM's webpage,

The end of a war. The start of a fashion revolution.
Explore the brilliance behind Christian Dior’s dramatic creations that revived the Paris haute couture industry after the devastation of the Second World War in ROM’s original exhibition, Christian Dior, presented by Holt Renfrew. Senior Curator, Dr. Alexandra Palmer, draws from the ROM’s extensive collection from the first ten years of Christian Dior haute couture, 1947 to 1957, to offer captivating insights into the creative process and mechanics of the fashion industry in Paris during a pivotal time.
Celebrating the House of Christian Dior’s 70th anniversary, Christian Dior features a selection of breathtaking designs from daytime to evening wear for grand occasions, and explores how and why Christian Dior’s iconic lines, luxury textiles, and romantic embroideries laid the foundation for the global success of the fashion house.
I entered with excitement, and to my extreme surprise, I was able to take photos..... I had brought my camera just in case, so I'm excited to share the experience with you, as some of you may not have been able to attend it!
The entrance looks as below.... First coming off the elevator, them in the exhibit from the sign to the gown

Even looking back through these pictures, I'm in awe of their beauty and the amazing workmanship that must have been put into these dresses. If I had my way, I would have gone back just to take it all in again, unfortunately it was over on April 8.  If you to pick just one which one would it be?  Which ones are your favourites?  Stay tuned for the next blog post on all the accessories at the exhibition!!

Until next time....
