I'm gonna get a monthly favourites in yet before 6 months has gone by. Today I'm talking all about the products I used and loved in the month of March. I love doing these posts, as it gives me an idea of what I used in my stash and what I don't.
As you may recall, I was sent the Seche Vive Gel Effect Top Coat to review. If you want to read my thoughts about it, read it hereseche-vive-instant-gel-effect-top-coat.html. I have been using this top coat all month long on my nails. Just because I can't notice the "gel effect" of it, doesn't mean it isn't an ideal top coat. I will use this up, and then get back to my fav Seche Vite.
At the end of February, I purchased this Multi-Technology Peptide Serum from the Deciem line The Ordinary. This "Buffet" product is doing wonders for my face. I have religiously been using it twice a day, and have noticed results. I will be expanding my collection with other products from this line, as they are very effective and VERY affordable. This 1 fluid ounce retails for $14.80 online at Sephora.
I also did a post recently about things I'm loving and lusting over for the spring/summer things-im-loving-right-now.html and I included these earrings. Well I did go ahead and pull the trigger and purchase them. They are a bit heavier than I thought, but a great addition to my spring/summer jewelry collection. I love that they are front facing and that they are this muted gold. They retail for $44.00.
I have been wearing 2 different eye palette this month. The Kat VonD True Love Palette by Sephora and the Revealed Palette by Coastal Scents. I'm making a conscious effort, to reach in my collection and start using some slightly forgotten ones. I really need to thin out my eye palette collection.
I have been using 2 Peter Thomas Roth skin care products this month. The Cucumber De-Tox Bouncy Hydrating Gel for my day time moisturizer, and
the Cucumber De-Tox Foaming Cleanser for my everyday morning and nighttime face wash. These both have a light scent to them, and so far they haven't broken my skin out or have made my skin react in any way! Been Loving them! You can find them at Sephora, with the Bouncy Hydrating Gel retailing at $60.00 for a 50 ml jar and the De-Tox Foaming Cleanser for $44.00 for a 200 ml bottle.
And lastly, I have been starting a new workout routine to get my fat ass off the couch and moving. I'm currently doing the 15 Minute Beginner Cardio Workout from Pop Sugar. Let's be honest, with the weight I've gained and my current fitness level, this is a great one to start! I hope to be adding the 30 minute in the next month! Fingers Crossed.....
I hope you found some inspiration in any of my favourites! Here's hoping I can make this a consistant monthly post...
Until Next Time..

A while back I ordered myself a cat lady box. I decided to go ahead and place my order and see what all I received in it. If you don't already know, CatLady Box is a monthly subscription box full of cat items for yourself and your feline friend. I chose the cheaper of the two boxes, as #1 my cats have soooo many toys as it is, and #2 it was $34.99 US dollars which of course translates to even more money in Canadian. Here is what was in my box.
When opening the box, here is what you first see.
Everything is wrapped tightly in this tissue.
First up I see this lovely post card. With the beautiful artwork on the front, the back shows what items are featured in the box itself.
First up is the "Cat Mom" T-Shirt. This shirt is made of excellent quality, and I have wore the heck out of it and it is just now starting to fade a bit. I was very impressed by the durability and quality of this shirt.
Next I found this AH MAZ ING cat light. It comes with a usb cord to either charge in your computer or wall outlet. This thing is awesome! I have it going ALL the time!
Shown above are all 8 different colours it changes to. To change it's colour, you just have to tap it on the head..... love it.
And lastly, is the beautiful china cat head dish. I love that it is white with the small gold detail around it. It looks very expensive. I am using it to hold my earrings and rings at night on my night stand.
Now for my thoughts... am I gonna order the next month... I think I might try it one more time. Since you don't get to choose what goes in your box, it's kinda a crap shoot as to what comes in it. So after trying it one more time, I will let you know if I will continue. The fee is pretty pricey when you convert it to Canadian pricing, and If I investigate it further, you can probably purchase just single items you are after, on their website. All in all, I'm happy with this box, and will be looking forward to my next!!
Until Next time.....
I'm writing today with a quick but simple post. I'm starting this month on my weight loss journey! I'm happy to say (fingers crossed) that I am feeling a bit better, and I am ready to start! I know I have said this a couple times before, and didn't follow thru, but sometimes my illness just popped up and I was unable to finish my journey. I am happy to report that today I started my first cardio workout....boy was that hard. It is a 15 minute hard core cardio floor workout, no machines, that I am going to do every day in March. I know your saying 15 minutes isn't that huge, but for someone who is this much out of shape and has this much weight on them, it is a great place to start. I know how I felt today doing it, and how many times I had to stop and catch my breath, as well as some exercises that I just couldn't do. I'm excited to see some gain in the coming month. I first goal is to be able to finish the whole workout, and not stop.
I'm going to be using this platform to hold myself accountable, not only to myself but to you too! I'm not going to be stressing over the scale. In fact, I haven't even stepped on the scale to see my weight. I'm just going to be using this month as my starter month, and I will be making the small changes needed to make this weight loss journey a lifestyle. It takes approximately 66 days to make one thing become a habit for yay for my first x on my calendar! Only 65 more to go!
Thank you for taking the time to read this small blog post check in!! Please help me along with my weight loss journey with any suggestions, etc you can give me!
I'll check back in with you again.......
Until next time,
