We decide to take the long drive to the East Coast! We wanted to explore all there is to do in Boston. Now saying this, I made the mistake of booking WAY TOO MUCH to do on our 4 day trip, so we will hav to go back soon to finish the rest of the site seeing!! But here is what we saw on this trip!
The drive was LONG, now not because of the actually time, but because our air conditioning broke in the car, and it was the hottest freaking weekend of the summer. So I guess in actual fact, the ride was UNCOMFORTABLE! Although the state of New York is long and drab, the state of Massachusetts is extremely Beautiful! Full of greenery and mountains! We had a great view! Once we were settled in our hotel room and had a shower after the long, hot drive, we ventured into the City of Boston! OMG what a site! From Large buildings to paved side streets, this city is the bomb! The shopping district we went down was so pretty. With Planters in full bloom, I honestly, didn't see a drop of garbage on these clean streets!
We decided to stay in near by Waltham, Massachusetts. It would end up taking us about 20 minutes to drive into the city of Boston! We were greeted by a huge Boston Strong banner posted on an above head walkway! Because of the No Air Conditioner drive, the next day was pretty much a write off. With sleeping in and showering, getting breakfast and our bearings to exactly where we wanted to be, we of course, needed to get some shopping in! We did this in Waltham! We found all the necessities of life, TJ MAX, TARGET etc. One thing I will mention, is that I paid to have our phone and data in the USA, however, the only thing that did work, was texting, no phone calls or data, so we ended up at a best buy to purchase a GPS for the rest of the trip! The next day we headed in for the day to the City of Boston. We shopped and walked around and then took in a ball game at the great Fenway Park. It is so rich in history, however, very pricey! We ended up having great seats in the shade, as this particular ball park is outdoors, we were very safe from the hot, beating sun shine!
If you decide to take a sporting event, please please take into consideration that this will take up 1 whole day!! From the time you wake up to the time you go to sleep! Nothing more! This is something, that I didn't plan for, therefore, our half day was shot and the planning that I had done all went by the way side! This is where next time, I will book us off for 1 whole day! I'm learning from my mistakes! The next day plans changed dramatically... We woke to a phone call that I had been excepted to a new position a New Dental office being opened in my Town! This was a great opportunity for me, and we made a date to get together, to discuss the new position! As well as my phone call, my husband received a call from his work as well, need him to return for the last 3 days of the work week. We decided to put the rest of our site seeing on hold for the time being, and return home to our jobs. We have decided to return however, as we missed 3 days out of our vacation. Next time, we may fly? Not sure though....
If you have a chance to get to Boston, I would highly suggest it! You will not be disappointed! Can't wait to return for Part 2! Have you been to Boston? Which spots should we plan on visiting? Leave a comment below!!

Just 3 minutes outside of St. Marys, is a small, don't blink you'll miss it, village of Rannoch. Mostly farm land, we were very very blessed that our gracious Aunt and Uncle owned a rather large, open property. It was the site of our Wedding! It was a dreary day July 25, 2009. The rain was just coming down, but we made the most of it! Appointments were made and a schedule was followed! This was the day of our wedding! As 10 years approaches, I felt that I needed to go back 9 years, and post about my wedding! It was such a fun day and about a half and hour before the actual "I do's", the rain halted and the skies cleared and the sun came out! We were truly blessed that day! Here are some memories...
Everything seemed to be greener and clearer, after the rain! Made our day even more special!
With a beautiful friend's property, us girl's pictures were taken, and the picturesque landscape of the falls in St. Marys, the boy's pictures were taken. Plus we didn't have to go too far for our wedding pictures afterwards, as the property hosted a water falls, large pond and great greenery!
All in all, it was one of the best day's of my life and I can not thank everyone who helped and participated in our wonderful day! To our family and great friends, we thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts! As 10 years approaches fast, there is no one that I would rather be married too and can't wait the spend the next 50 with you!
This is Our Tribe!!
